Light Painting

Light painting consists of long time exposures and exposing parts the subject with a flash light. You paint with the flash light to expose what you want to see in the final image. The image with the dory is called "Midnight Swans". Created with a ten-minute exposure under partial moonlight, the grasses and the dory are all painted/lit with custom flashlights and the swans are streaks of light from a single LED light source. I stood in the picture and created the three swan shapes, but because I'm not lit, I am invisible.

Projecting on Water

The images of flowers are created by projecting photographs onto water spraying from a garden hose, then re-photographed.
